Shrek is in the bathroom of the chapel preparing to go pray to this ogre gods. He lacks self-esteem because he has no cool ogre moustache, something the ogre scriptures praise as important. He puts on a confetti moustache in hopes that will improve his self-esteem, as if the ogre gods of the chapel won't just laugh at this sad attempt of a moustache.
