Pinocchio is inside the sick ward of the infirmary, trying to escape. In order to leave no trace for the evil doctors, he takes a book with him and repeatedly rips off a single page, lays it down, and then steps on it. He does this again and again until he reaches the window, leaving no footprints behind. Unfortunately, though he tries repeatedly to open the window, it won't budge. He tells a lie and breaks the window with his elongated nose, instead.
