This is because they all accidentally set off a glitter bomb earlier that destroyed those very pews. Actually Charlie Brown was not involved at all, but somehow got associated with the troublesome 亻 Slenderman and his dangerous 貝 shellfish friend. He could not talk the priests out of letting him off without 償 repayment.
