A 戈 halberd is a long pole weapon with a point at the top along with a small axe blade. Here the horizontal stroke at the top, along with the drop, represent the point, while the second horizontal stroke represents the axe blade. Note that this has one extra stroke than the 弋 arrow component 弋.
