The "lü-" sound in Pinyin has no English equivalent. To pronounce the "ü" part of it, make the English "ee" sound and slowly round your lips. The tongue should remain tense. Afterwards, simply add a "l" to the beginning of this new sound. For ease of typing, this initial is usually written as "lv-" where "v" represents the letter "ü". We encourage you to write it in this simpler manner when doing reviews.
