When he is done on the toilet, he goes over to a small ornamental 木 tree in the corner near the sink and makes a 凵 pit and puts his 缶 clay pot of 鬱 depression inside it, then covers it and marks it with an 㐅 X. This is an ancient card master trick to cure 鬱 depression.
