With the new Dictionary beta, there may be times you’ll come across entries that have less-than-satisfactory definitions.
In theses cases, you can add your own user definition.
A user definition is an alternate answer that you can type in during your reviews. In addition to the official definitions a Dictionary item has, HanziHero will also check if the answer you provide matches any of your user definitions. If it does, HanziHero will consider the answer as correct.
You can add a user definition at any time by first navigating to the page of the dictionary item you want to add it for.
There you can click on the Add definition button to add a new definition. That will pop open a new input that you can type your user definition into.
Once you have finished typing it in, press the ENTER
key to submit the new user definition.
Once it is saved, it will show up in the UI as another bullet on the list, without a number.
If you wish to remove an existing user definition, you can do so at any time by clicking on the X
at the end of a user definition. Doing so will remove the user definition.
